Ekphrastic Ecopoems: Pacific Northwest

Ecopoems from the Pacific Northwest is an anthology of ekphrastic poetry written in response to the awe-inspiring and irreplaceable life on our planet.

We invite you to submit your poems inspired by a photograph, chosen monthly by our editors. Please visit tulipwood.org/ekphrastic-ecopoems to view this month's offering. We welcome poems inspired by any photo in the series.

We're looking for work that will educate, enliven, and motivate readers to make positive changes to their impact on the animals living on our shared planet. Rather than simply describing the prompt image, or inventing a persona for the animal pictured, please give us your personal experiences with these creatures and ask the question: "what can we do to impact their lives in a positive way?"

Send your best work. Tulipwood Books is a developmental-editing press. We work with authors to refine their poems, with an emphasis on image, voice, and connection to the reader. We're excited to get the chance to collaborate with you.
